The Administrator is not working on my Mac
Users with newer Intel-based Macs and the Safari browser will have to make an adjustment their browser. The Shockwave plugin does not work by default with browsers on Intel-based Macs. Shockwave DOES work by default on non-Intel-based Macs, however.
The Avacaster Administrator uses Shockwave. The Avacaster Player uses Flash. Users with this issue will only see it when trying to access the Administrator- the player will function normally.
Here's how to make the adjustment in your Mac browser: [1]
- Open Finder
- Open the Applications folder
- Find your browser and select it
- Get Info on the browser by selecting "Get Info" under the "File" menu.
- Look for a checkbox labeled "Open using Rosetta." Check this box.
- Quit and restart your browser.
- Download and install the Shockwave Plugin. If you tried this before checking the box, re-download and re-install.
- You should now be able to use the Avacaster Administrator.
If you are having trouble downloading Shockwave, go to this page of Standalone installers and download the latest version for Mac.
